Go with post 7. Good luck.

Not sure how you expect anyone to convert an energy value into a physical volume value.

How many KWH's are there in a cup of tea?

Dear Mr.fillet,

What is the character of the oil - say, Sp.Heat, What is the Temp. at inlet, What is the Desired outlet Temp., What is the Viscosity, etc - to be furnished.

In the absence of the minimum data, it is difficult to answer.

The thermal content of an oil volume will be E= C *V*ρ* (θ2-θ1)

E energy content [Joule]

C specific heat [Joule/kg/°K]

V volume [m^3]

ρ specific mass [kg/m^3]

θ1 reference temperature of oil [°K]

θ2 temperature at which the energy cotent has to be computed [°K]

What you give is E and you want to obtain V you see that to many values are not available in order to solve the equation.

Now that you have the equation you can on your own solve the problem.

Good luck
