Why thermocouples has to be increased while the pipe size increases

To get proper coverage in the monitoring of heat distribution to insure you do not have a Cold spot.

Thermocouples are placed in the parts to ensure the required temperature, time, and heating and cooling rates are achieved. However, if the component size increases the number of thermo couple also will be increased. One thermo couple may not be sufficient to measure the temperature of a large area.
