Career?

If your interested in aerospace, do you have a pilots license? Whether airframe or avionics component manufacturer (assuming this is the aerospace your thinking about), you need to have knowledge of an aircraft, and the terminology related to it's mechanical operation, and how it's flown in the airspace. Airframe designers typically have an aero-engineer degree. For avionics there's mechanical, electrical, software, but being a generalist in all three of these will make you stand out. That's what a job interview will want to see.

For automobile, have you ever rebuilt an engine, replaced suspension components, done body repair. You need to understand automotive sub-systems.

There's all sorts of safety requirements in both of these fields. Making a career change will be tough, unless that single product company made a component for one of these fields. And you were in the right place to learn the regulatory systems.

Just what part of engineering did you do on the product at your current company. If your a production guy, (industrial engineer or specialty in this area) you probably can transfer to any factory. I would stay away from any lithium ion battery companies making aerospace components.

CAD:

I do not know what is used in the automotive industry.

I know that my company (avionics), uses UNIGRAPHICS (and the name changed as they were bought by someone).

Airframe companies I know of use Catia (I think that's how it's spelled). This is USA industry. I don't know what Europe is using.

hello dear,

in my opinion the most important thing is that in which field you are qualified or in which field you have done our education, if you have done our engineering in aerospace field than it would not be a difficulty to get job if you are knowledgable person.I want you to look for various courses, exams and colleges which are involved in aerospace field.
