CR4 Formatting Problems

02/25/2013 7:34 AM

Thanks for your patience while programmers are working on fixing some of the bugs related to CR4's new look.

Most notably, CR4 isn't displaying so well in Internet Explorer 8. Here are the known formatting problems:

  • White text on white background on login screen
  • White text on gray background in recent comments and good answer boxes
  • White text on white background for the quote at the bottom of the page
  • Field labels like "by" and "pathfinder tags" are white text on white background on the all recent threads page

Update: The IE formatting issues have been resolved!

If you're experiencing any visual problems with parts of the site not listed, please describe them below. Including a screen shot helps, too.

I have IE10 at home and .bmp's don't display on CR4 but they do on IE8 at work.

Can you link me to an example of a post where the .bmp didn't display?

Sure, this one....

I can't see the O.P.'s .bmp or the nice one that I did to get the good answer score of 10. Also, since installing IE10, I can no longer cut and paste in CR4, works for everything else. For this link, I cut and paste into MS Word, then drag and drop into CR4. I don't have these issues at work with IE8.

Chrome does not offer a sign-in option on the home page.

It's moved up slightly, to the extreme upper right of the page.

Thanks,

I'll try that when I get home. I've used Slimbrowser at home, without problems.
