Automatic Voltage Regulator from VEM

03/11/2013 1:06 AM

Dear all,

I'm looking for modules of an VEM (Dresden) automatic voltage regulator type RGBEF 20000-BB. The modules of interest are namely the E150.1 and E153.

Someone can help me on how to find such spares or how to find others owner's of these AVR's ?!?

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the reply.

I will try to find the spare modules with EMRI.

However, please find enclosed photos regarding the AVR.

This looks pretty specialised.

Go directly to VEM and ask them first, chances are you won't be able to find spare modules on the open market or at VEM distributors.

Automatic Voltage Regulator from VEM

Thanks for your reply, the problem is that the equipment is 20 years old, is out of order, is no more in production and VEM don't have spares anymore.
So, I'm trying to find out on how to get these spares. May be I can find them at one old renewed installation or at any used parts vendor.

Oh (I've been there before).

Also try the online trading houses for spares of obsolete equipment. If you get really desperate you may need to get the circuit diagrams and other information from VEM and try to get the board repaired.

Do you know of any companies that use the same VEM gear and may have spares you could buy? A bit of a shot in the dark, but it worked once for me.

Thanks for sharing your experience.

I don't know other companies that are using or used this equipment.

Could you inform about specialized companies in such obsolete equipment according to your previous experience ?

Other companies would simply be other local companies that have bought similar VEM equipment and still have it in service. Who these companies are, I wouldn't know.

It is a bit of a long shot but you may be able to contact a local VEM agent and ask if they know of any local companies they have supplied to who have the same equipment and hence may have some spare modules you could buy.

It may not be information they are willing to give out, but I guess you have to ask just in case.
