Synthetic Oil

How the Synthetic oil is produced? Is it a product from the crude oil or petrolium product?How we defined it is artificial one?

Synthetic oil is produced from fake wells dontcha know? They're easy to spot as everything is made out of plastic.

......Actually it is synthesized from a number of sources, anywhere from natural gas to crude oil to vegetable oils. This doesn't matter to the name, the point is that the base oil in it has been chemically altered or assembled during the production process instead of simply taking physically separated crude oil fractions.
