NY is a big state - Syracuse is nearly 3 hours from our office. I hope that she makes it home safe and sound!

Yeah, I was thinking you were closer. On the other hand, if she's a runaway, she may be trying to put distance between her and her parents. I figured it wouldn't hurt to have you guys at least be aware of it. She could be anywhere.

Unharmed, but she scared the crap out her parents. She's lucky she didn't end up in a really bad situation. These kids don't understand the type of monsters that are out there.

Yeah, this girl is the lucky one. Last night some guy abducted a woman and her 10-year-old daughter from a mall parking lot near here (same area - it's in the headlines of the web link), took them to a secluded area nearby, stabbed the mother & raped the daughter. Police have caught the guy, but the woman died of her wounds. That young girl will be scarred for life by the horrible things that happened to her, seeing her mother killed right in front of her. So your friend's friend's daughter needs to think twice about running away again.

Peter- That's horrible. If the guy had come across the girl that ran away, I'm sure she'd be a victim today.

This may sound cruel and unusual, but if I were the parents of the runaway, I would take her to the funeral of the woman that got murdered.
