Have you checked the manual?

If yes, did you understand the manual?

What does the manual say about parameterization?

If you did all of the above, have you checked the Danforth website for help?

Have you attempted to contact anyone by phone?

Tell us what you have tried, so far, if anything, so we can rule these things out before wasting time suggesting them.

i have read the manual and understood it. it gives little information to help. i have spoken to a friend who is an expert on Danfoss drives. He suggests using the sofware to assign the terminals. I do not have the software other wise i could have sorted it. i want to change from an input to an output and assign drive fault signal to LED.

There should not be anything that can be done in software that cannot be done on the keypad.

But are you attempting to change one of the VFD's terminal sets from being assigned to an Input, to being assinged to an Output? Therein may lie the problem. You likely cannot get help from the manual because you are attempting to do something that cannot be done, so they do not cover absurdities. I/O are hardware devices, internally wired to the terminal block hardware. You can change the FUNCTION of an Input to any numper of things, and you can change the FUNCTION of an output to any number of things. But all of the choices will still fall under the category of what that particular piece of hardware is and must remain being, either an Input or an Output.

They are kind of a P.I.T.A. about letting you have manuals actually. They insist that they email them to you. Fortunately there are distributors that are not so stingy.

PS:

Well smack my a** and call me Judy...

Terminals 27 and 29 can indeed be reconfigured as either Inputs or Outputs! I have never seen that, and I am very curious how they accomplish that little feat of magic.

Parameters 5-01 and 5-02 respectively.
