Learning to Code Made Easy

03/27/2013 2:39 PM

Hello all! Do you have an interest in programming some sort of foreign language, but can't be motivated to sift through books or take a class?

I recently was told about www.codecademy.com and couldn't endorse it more, especially for those with very minimal amounts of programming knowledge. It uses gamification (badges / points / leveling) to keep you motivated and interested in learning the next "trick" to becoming better and more versatile in various languages.

Figured I'd give it a plug as it helps me get a decent grasp of Python!

Here's a list of the current languages available:

HTML, CSS, PHP, jQuery, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, APIs

Have to look at that, I use to code a long time ago, but lost interest......... or too many irons in the fire. I always wanted to get back into it....... or just to remember that its not the way I remembered it
