Waterbath Tolerances

04/04/2013 4:04 AM

Hi everyone,

We test WFI quality water and, as part of the test for Nitrates, it states to place the samples and standard in a waterbath @ 50 °C for 15 minutes. I have been looking into what tolerance the Pharmacopoeias would place on the water bath but can't for the life of me find anything.

Anyone out there have any idea?

Thanks

Water For Injection is one of the more common abbreviations.

Sorry I am only an interested out-stander on this one. I am still trying to understand what the application is. Water for Injection is for what? Are we talking human body? Plants? Medication production?

The tolerance in question is what? Would it be what temperature and time difference for the bath can be tolerated? Or is it what Nitrates should occur?

Leaves to many question but somebody more accustomed with WFI might have the easy aswer for this.
