Need Help Identifying a Connector Manufacturer

04/10/2013 3:03 PM

Hi all,

I am having trouble identifying the manufacturer of this connector. We pulled it off some equipment we junked so we have no way of tracing it back to the source. I have searched on the internet for about an hour and I just can't find it. Here is a picture of the mating face.

Note that the following logo is in the center of the mating face:

The connector is made in Germany

and appears to have a Underwriter's Lab Listing number of CA365 or CA36S. A Google on these numbers has not been helpful.

The lower front of the connector has some markings:

A search on "VDE Reg No 2745" wasn't helpful.

A side view shows that it is an environmentally sealed connector with an O-ring and screw terminals.

Does anyone know who this manufacturer is? It is a nice connector and we would like to use it.

Thank you,

Bruce

They do look somewhat similar but checking both your link and http://www.hosiden.com/ I didn't find environmentally sealed connectors that matched.

Thanks,

Bruce

For what it is worth, Hirschmann is a long established, solid manufacturer. Go for it with them.

The inverted RU symbol means that this is a UL Recognized Component. That's not quite the same as a UL Listing, but if you have the necessary procedures in place, you can use these in, say, UL508 panels.
