If Power Increase What Increase First Prime Mover Power or Excitation

my question is that if we want increase generator power what thing prime mover power increase or excitation increase?.if any one increase first then what is effect on other thing its increase or decrease?please give me answer with detail.

Real power (W) and Reactive power (VAR) operate in quadrature so in theory there is minimal interaction between them in a well designed system.

Watts always come from the fuel/governor, VARs always come from the electromagnetic field in the air gap between the stator and the rotor. It is the vector sum of the magnetic field produced by the excitation system supplying current to the rotor windings, and the magnetic field in the stator windings created by the connection to the grid.

In general the generator are working ...for power generation...so when load increases..the mechanical power should be increasing on it's primemover...some what voltage drop..will exist that can be controlled by adjustment of excitation...so for load increase...it can be directly effect on it's prime mover...
