Machine IP

hi friends,

consider a scenario

There is a common switch through which 10 system is connected and each system is assigned different ip address.

Is there any tool which can list all the IP address of machine along with machine name connected to common switch?

I am using a program called Overlook FING that does just that. It will list IP, Name, Mac Address, etc...

Yes, start in DOS with PING. There are better in your operating system, but that is the start.

IPscanner is one tool I use quite often. You could also see the registered addresses in the web interface of the switch, if there exists one.
