Look at current designs and follow one.

What else have you designed?

Is this homework?

Look on the web for design guides published by pneumatic equipment makers.

It's all been done many times before.

Hi munna1501,

You will most probably need a "Z" (Vertical) movement as well. A pneumatic only solution would be difficult, particularly if you want a number of different "X" & "Y" positions.

An Electro / Pneumatic solution would be much simpler and cheaper if the accuracy of stopping was not critical. If stopping position is critical an Electric Actuator would be much more accurate and cheaper in the long run.

Best regards,

John

I have done several multi-stepped or positioned pick and place units that used only pneumatics as movement devices. Depends on what your moving and how much room you have to do this. But, I takes numerous actuators to make several moves over any set distance. If you have worked at all in the design field you should have no issue with coming up with is simple systems.

munna1501; contact one of you pneumatic equipment vendors for help.
