Automation To Run Any .exe File

Can you please suggest me as how to build an automation tool which runs .exe file??

For example i want to install VLC player with the help of automation tool where all things has to be in the control of automation tool.i.e automation tool has to select the path as where to install the software(path to be specified manually but automation tool has to select the path which is specified by us)

Can u suggest me that kind of automation tool

... or you could write a script to do it using either a freeby like http://www.autohotkey.com/

or buying a scripting tool like MJTnet.com (which has more features than the freeby)

First off you need an installer. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_installation_software

Then you will need to be a great deal more specific as what you plan to do. I think VLC will accept a file spec parameter which is essential for your project to work. If you intend to build an application your concept needs to be crystal clear.
