A Czochralski Crystal

06/14/2013 3:34 AM

Hi all,

This is a question for me, pls send the solution if anybody have this........

A Czochralski crystal is grown with an initial Sb concentration in the melt of 1 x 1016 cm‐3. After 80% of the melt has been used up in pulling the crystal, pure silicon is added to return the melt to its original volume. Growth is then resumed. What will the Sb concentration be in the crystal after 50% of the new melt has been consumed by growth? Assume k0 = 0.02 for Sb.

thanks in advance

Our friend claims to be an "instrumentation engineer".

Later he claims to be getting his "M-TECH", whatever that is.

One thing's for sure, he has a lot of questions. Mostly elementary.

Maybe he's a sponge.

I heard KrisDel was bankrupt and looking for an investing "angle" to save them. Due diligence proved they were unstable.

LynDoor™Institute of High Learning Limited is offering displaced KD students a deep discount on equivalent courses.

Our courses are accredited by the LynDoor™Industries Educational Accreditation Division of Accreditations And Redundancy Division Division, Ltd, LLC Inc.

It is curious. I have not have heard from Cochralsky since my early school years. Still, I remember that the intent was to keep dopant at a constant ratio instead at a varying Sb (concentration in what?). It might be interesting in academic studies, where they do not know, what they are doing. Otherwise constancy of all parameters are paramount.
