06/30/2013 12:34 PM

What uses can you think of for this new waterproofing in a can??

"Say goodbye to water damaged phones and soggy shoes - Rust-Oleum just launched NeverWet, an amazing product that can waterproof nearly any surface or object. The ultra-hydrophobic spray coating was developed by Ross Nanotechnology, and it repels water like nothing you have ever seen. After a long time in development the product is finally available to the public, and you can get it now at Home Depot for $20 for an 18oz can.

Spray it on ships/boats for energy efficiency. (Lower water friction while moving through the water.)

Spray it on windshields and car duco for easier cleaning.

Walls and vertical surfaces in "wet" areas to eliminate soap scum and such.

...... Endless list ......

I posted about this product at CR4 here and received some interesting ideas on its use and applications, from toilet paper to concrete foundation protection.

My first can of it is going to be used on my, and my family's smart phones. It should pay for itself, and then some! Then my Labrador Retriever will get a shot so he doesn't bring in a gallon of water with him when he comes in from enjoying our Oregon climes! Don't forget the paws!
