	I arranged my desktop icons just the way I want them. I right click and goto "lock desktop icons". After shutting down and coming back later, I find my desk top all disarranged. I rearrange again, but every time I reboot my computer, the desk top screen is all messed up again. This has just happened recently. 	I run XP also - occasionally the icons would all re-arrange - especially when changing screen resolution, plugging in second monitor - using hdmi intreface for playing video, using vdeo for overhead projector, entering safe mode, hybernation etc. Solved the problem by installing a cute utility "icon restore" http://download.cnet.com/Icon-Restore/3000-2072_4-10163499.html#rateit its free, small, hasn't been buggy.
