Electroluminescent Inkjet Printing

09/04/2013 5:46 PM

Is anyone aware if there is an inkjet printer based Electroluminescent inks available.

I want to print EL designs onto glass but without the trouble of screen printing.

Many thanks for any help.

Not my field.

Come to think of it, I'm not sure what my field is.

For some reason, a movie came to mind.

"Field of Dreams".

You could try these - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Invisible-Ink-UV-Ink-for-inkjet-printers-6-UV-colors-/120738200403 Don't know anything about them - whether they need peizo or thermal printer - ask the vendor.

http://www.directcolorsystems.com/printer-applications/glass-printing.php . DCS's small-format Direct Jet inkjet printers allow you to print full-color, photo-quality images, logos and text directly onto glass and mirrors. You can easily print onto glass using our UV LED inkjet printers. Our compact, versatile UV printers deliver a very opaque white ink, allowing for bright, crisp, durable color prints on glass, transparent substrates and dark substrates. BA

I'm thinking that the base or primer ink has some special properties that adhere to glass and the other inks sit on top of that. BA
