How to Purge a Natural Gas Pipeline?

There all,

I need solution to the problem below:

I am in charge of handling the purge in natural gas pipeline

My question is how to calculate the amount of nitrogen in case of purging 30-inch, 16km-long natural gas pipeline

and how to calculate the amount of natural gas to serve the natural gas pipeline

finally, what is the essential procedure of purging and serving pipeline for example

purging pressure of nitrogen and natrual gas

Start by calculating its volume.

Are there no procedure documents surviving from previous similar activities that could be adapted to suit, on the basis of not reinventing the proverbial wheel?

Why was this not considered and reviewed at the HazOp Study so as to be ready in time?

I believe it is in the relevant standard. I don't know what the standard numbers are or what countries standards you are working to thou, but there should be standards for this sort of testing and operation. Please look them up.

Alternatively hire a professional contractor to perform said work.

The United States has averaged about ten natural gas pipeline incidents a month. The average property damage per incident is about $14,000,000. Fortunately the fatality rate averages to less than one death every other incident but usually somebody does get hurt every incident.

Deer awl,

I'm in charge of re-manufacturing spent plutonium fuel rods.

I figure that we chuck them up in a lathe and turn it down because the bad part is on the outside.

Right?

What size do I need to turn it down to and how much with each pass.

What I really need is the calculation on RPM versus mm per pass?

This paper, Purging Air from Piping and Vessels in Hydrocarbon Service, is a virtual public service by the small engineering firm that hosts it.

His opening statement is profound: "After motor vehicle accidents and underground excavation accidents, purging air from piping and vessels in hydrocarbon service is the next most dangerous activity undertaken within the oil and gas business."
