Pressure Vessel Saddle Support

In pressure vessel saddle support general we take A<=R/2 or MIN A= 0.2 R or max. A= .2L, what happen if we take A> R/2 wrt respect to attached jpg. plz explain fully detail.

where A= distance between tangent line to saddle midpoint

R = radius of shell

L= distance between the saddles

Consider what happens to the shape of the stress diagram located below the vessel when these parameters are varied, and the effect of this on the quantities of material needed to create each part of the tank.
