CR4 Site Issue - Non Needed Notifications

09/08/2013 12:13 AM

CR4 loves to notify you of posts prior to last post you've seen.

e.g. on Sat 9/7/13 at 1136 eastern, I get this message

Hello CR4 user KeepItSimpleStupid,

There was a new comment by fixitorelse (replying to Brabbit89) in a discussion that you subscribed to:
1993 F-350 Brake Issues (http://cr4.globalspec.com/thread/86111?frmtrk=cr4sd#newcomments)

You can see all of your subscribed discussions on this page: http://cr4.globalspec.com/user/subscribeddiscussions?u=51954&frmtrk=cr4sd

Thanks,
The CR4 Team

http://cr4.globalspec.com

The last Post, Post #30, was posted on 8/31 and I've been to this forum since 8/31.

I don;t get it?

The last post as of this moment in that thread is the post that it notified you of. Post #30 is not the last post. It is post #32. So it seems to be working correctly? Or am I not understanding?

I am the last to hear anything. Stop trying to change that. I like it this way.

I dont hve a post #32. Although it does say 32 comments.

An ersatz copy of the last post (#30) follows.

Note that it does say "32 comments", but where is 31 and 32?

If the rubbers are perished in the master /slave actions, fluid loss is the result, the hiss denotes vacume problems, disconnect the tube connected to the manifold then apply the brake if there is no hiss check vacume rubbers. __________________

Posts 31 and 32 are not appearing at the bottom of the page because you probably have threads set to be viewed 'Indented / nested by replies'. They are both replies to posts earlier in the thread (if you scroll up you'll see them). This is default, but I've never liked it. You can change it by clicking it (it's next to the Subscribe and Rating buttons) and switch to chronological order.
