Pressure Vessel

The Cut Length is the Outside Projection + Inside Projection + Drop +
In Plane Shell Thickness.

what is use of cut length in nozzle of pressure vessel? why it calculate?

How else would one get the nuts on the bolts protruding through the flange on the nozzle, and swing a spanner at them?
