I suggest that you learn how to properly search the internet. Almost everything in the printed world can be found with the proper search technique.

The paper is picked up by suction (tube to the plastic cups) lifted, and with a forward motion
(sometimes rotary) of the bar (which holds the cups) the paper is "fed" to the grippers.
Grippers are several small "plier" like clamps which as the name suggests grip the paper edge.

The grippers take (feed) the paper on to the rollers and through the press. It is common
when printing in several colours for the paper to be passed from one bar of grippers
to another bar of grippers for each colour in turn to print. (for the full colour process. CYMK.)

One of the the successes of digital (laser printers) is that they use none of this "feed"
mechanism using instead a friction feed roller to directly insert the paper.
The downside to this very efficient system is some loss in accurately positioning the paper,
critical for full colour printing, and this is overcome (in digital printing) by depositing
all 4 colours on the paper at the same time. This works for the accuracy of the 4 colours
however, while a sharp image is created the whole imposition is not (usually) on the paper
exactly in the same position (on all the sheets) due to the friction feed of the roller varying
the position of each paper sheet by only a few millimetre.

Hope this overly simple explanation is enough, pop along to your local printer?

Friend asked me "did I buy my wife anything for Valentines day?"

"Yes, I said, a belt and a bag." "That was kind, did she appreciate them?"

To soon to say, I said, but at least the vacuum will work better for her now."
