Can I use 1000w ignitor for 600w HPS lamp

Here's two pages of replacement ignitors and capacitors for HPS fixtures, looks like you have to buy the correct one, otherwise contact the manufacturer of your particular fixture. Why risk ruining the bulb and/or ballast which will cost much more to replace.
