When I try to copy something out of a Gmail email, it ignores me. I highlight the copy, Control C, then Control V into, say, a word doc, and nothing happens.
If I click the More down arrow and select Message Text Garbled?, it presents the text in a Courier typeface, which I can copy and paste.
It also says "To change the encoding for this message, choose "Encoding" from the "View" menu
in your browser. Then, choose an encoding appropriate for the language in which
you believe this message is written."
Yeah, but it's all in English. I've clicked some different settings, but nothing happens.
Any ideas? Copying text this way is a PITA, but it works.
Here's what may be a related problem: GMail can't see certain folders in my PC. If I want to attach a photo or document to an email, I have to first put it into a folder that Gmail can see (such as "Temporary"). This too, is a PITA, but it works. Got a cure for that?
I really hate Gmail, and I shudder to think what weird things it will do next.
