Foiling Digital Cameras

09/19/2005 2:30 PM

Cell phone cameras are everywhere, often where they're not supposed to be. Researchers at the Georgia Institute of Technology have devised an inexpensive way to prevent digital cameras from taking pictures. It's a legitimate question. There have already been lawsuits over people taking pictures in places, such as locker rooms, where users have a legitimate "expectation of privacy".

I'm wondering how long it's gonna take the bad guys to realise this could be used to defeat legitimate CCTV systems!!! Banks beware

I'm sure that people have already thought of that. I just think a mask is more reliable than having a guy pointing a laser at a camera.
