Bearing Technical Information

Dear Sir,

We are having hot air blower with open type of shaft which giving vibration in blower so we have planned to replace the SE new housing(SN 511),TSN 511 S labyrinth seal,locating ring 2 numbers only for NDE bearing,22211EK bearing. Now my question is whether i have to fix labyrinth seal for both DE & NDE bearing or only one housing.please suggest me

I suggest that you ask the bearing manufacturer, or the service tech who will be performing the bearing replacement.

Oh, you want to replace the bearings yourself? I'd suggest using whatever the service/installation manual instructs you to use. No manual? Get one.

If all else fails, make the new installation look just like the original bearings.

Your going to disassemble this blower to replace the bearing on one side? Unless you have a new blower on order and just trying to keep it up and running until it's acquired. That a waste of time and effort. Replace both bearings and seals. Even if one is bad and is causing the vibration. The vibration has most likely cause some damage to the other bearing. Plus have the fan or impeller checked for balance. That maybe the true cause of the problem. Replacing the bearing will just correct it temporarily.
