PHAROS

06/11/2007 8:21 PM

What type of program is PHAROS. I found it operating behind my information at the San Francisco Public Library. The error box implied the data couldn't be recorded. I saved my information to a flash drive and I noticed intermittantly throughout a few emails, all of a sudden the computer acted like a freeze, then the telltale momentary flash, then all was fine. Problem never occured during social emails and social surfing. When I logged off rapidly this PHAROS error box had blipped away quick enough for me not to see it.

Could this be it?

http://www.pharos.com/

It appears to be a network traffic monitor, for printing etc.

It appears to be a network traffic monitor, for printing et Thanx Charlie r, I was hoping it was that innocuous, but I'd never seen it before and the message was intriguing in the way it was worded. I also looked up www.pharos.com; and even though I appreciate you...that is a little to pat and easy, because the trouble to hide the traffic monitor, cost more than actual income from the so called printing and/or traffic it monitors...get me?
