Need Information About HV Discharge Wires

hello friends,

in instant-start metal holyde lamps (3kw,7kw) connected discharge wires at the HV end,i want to know is there any difference between that wire and ordinary wire.and can i use the ordinary wire for the same function?

Do not substitute wires unless you want to be responsible for a fire.

The standards for Metal halide lamps are very strict since they can reach temperatures of 1000 degrees. (think of an arc welder in a bottle) For Instant on (pulsed start) The wiring and insulation must be rated at least 4000Volts and able to withstand temperatures of 1000 degrees F.
