Crane Failure

10ton demag overhead crane show error code 63 triangle and 31 lightin, winch dont works either up or down

Go to page 71 in the operator's manual.

See step # 3. Follow the instructions on making error code 63 regular again. The second step, switch over #2 should read, "turn the #14 code switch off/on/off."

Some manuals have these steps backward, and you will make the winch run backwards, or not work at all, if the sequence isn't correct.

Be sure to record each step and report back to us.

Some good info there lyn. However, if you follow step 3, the readout will be in doppelzentners.

Oh, well, you must have the German version of the manual. The American version yields mega-henweighs.

Well, the tool needed to fix it is the telephone. Ring the maufacturer and get the local Service Engineer to make a visit.
