PMI Requirement

My Valve body is WC9 and my line material is A335 p22 material.

And my specification call for PMI for alloy steel/Stainless steel. Sp does the valve in WC9 material needs to be PMI tested?

PMI = positive material identification? WC9 is 2-1/4Cr 1Mo which according to AISI is low alloy.

Yes PMI is Positive material identification.

But do we need PMI for this alloy??
