03/28/2014 12:50 PM

Dear CR4 Sirs, I have a service I'm subscribing for but has little experience on. The SERVICE DESCRIPTION reads: "The required service is to carry out a complete refurbishment of the pump rotors of the Sea Water Lift Booster Pump (SWLBP). This includes as-received inspection of the pump rotors, cleaning of the pump rotors, dimensional checks, balancing of the pump rotors (2.5g) and the submission of a final repair/refurbishment report." I am an assistant in this service, my superiors need my information, and here I am on CR4 soliciting your informed experience and advice on how to serve this description satisfacorily. Thank you sirs

Contact the pump supplier and ask them. They can give you specific instructions.

If you are in business to refurbish pumps, you should know what you are doing.

It would be unethical to do otherwise.

If you are desperate, take it apart, look at it clean it up, measure the proper clearances, replace any damaged or out of tolerance parts and proceed from there.
