Does anyone know what the symbol for a pressure transducer is with a 4-20mA output?

Yes I do, call MICONTROLS in Seattle. 800 877 8026

They are application experts, but for them to make a recommendation you will need to provide additional information.

What range do you need?

What materials do you need to be compatble with the measured medium?

What are the min and max temperatures that the transmitter will be exposed to?

What accuracy is needed?

Do you want a local indication?

Should it be adjustable?

Who are you?

Additional information may be needed.

Rosemount and Honeywell are two manufacturers worth a look (usual disclaimer). Their sales teams can offer transmitters configured with a wide range of inlet connections. Even in Washington State.

Omega is the probably the best reseller to go through. My former employer, Kavlico Corp. is a leading manufacturer of pressure sensors and has been known to sell individual quantities. They have a PT255-(pressure range) with an 1/8" NPT port and 4 to 20ma output.

A little side note: Transducers tend to be voltage output, whereas transmitters are current output. Comes from the fact that generally the transduction tends to be through mechanical deflection of a capacitive plate or strain against a Piezo Resistive device and converted into a voltage output. The manufacturer will then add a voltage to current converter board for current output in applications where long transmission of output is required, hence transmitter.
