Electrostatic precipitator

06/14/2007 9:21 AM

Hello!

I need some supplier of electrostatic precipitator of preference that are located or they have representatives in Mexico/USA. I have a project that involves the purchase of a equipment.

I am sending the information regarding the treatment of residual stream process from metal refining, in our lead and silver refinery in Torreón Coahuila, México.

The new refining process consists on bubbling gas chlorine into molten metal at high temperature (1150 °C) to remove the silver and another impurities presents ( Pb,Fe,Zn,Te,Cu,etc). under this conditions the base metals are transformed in gaseous chlorides. Which will have to be captured in a dry collection system of high efficiency.

It will be batch operation, of approximately 250 kg feed of raw materials and it will take 3 hours per batch. The supply of gas chlorine will be through cylinders of 65 kg of capacity.

The mass balance attached, base one batch corresponding 250 kg of dore.

Every batch produce 110 kg of liquid slag and approximately 80 kg of dust( AgCl,PbCl2,ZnCl2 y FeCl2)

Raw material entrance to the chlorination process : 50 tons/year

Dust production : 16 tons/year

Batchs / day = 2

Collection system to capture fumes from exhaust hoods:

Estimated to be sized to 10,000 acfm

Total particle in exhaust stream 7,500 mg/s based to mass balance.

If somebody knows someone please send me the contact, that project is very important to me.

I need:

Your point of view and your technical recommendation on the application on this case, including advantages and disadvantages.

2.- Outlet equipment. design according to international environmental regulations.

3.- Quotation.

Hi there:

YOu should contact a guy I meet a few months agos a Frank Romero from Electrostatic Preciptator Solutions EPS, he was at our plant and installed some repairs to our old esp, we liked his company due to the independent factor, most of the vendor tha visited our plant tried to push equipment we didn´t need. We installed a new ESP from supplies he got from several vendors and some engineering we purchased for the steel and the cost came down a BIG 1.2MUSD in savings. That EPS Big deal having most parts made locally, his email is fhromero@yahoo.com and cell num is 56.9.8.132.6548 in chile. Oh and the guy speaks spanish. Last I hear he was in Zambia installing 6 new ESPs for a mining company but I speak with his office from time to time.

I got his name from another engineer on this site.

Pablo Ruiz

Electroandina Power Company

Chile
