Tig Welding

How much liter/min of argon gas is required for welding ss pipes in a ss pipe mill Also how much liter of argon gas is present in 250 cuft argon cylinder.

Please don't repeat your question. It was already answered.

Conversion tables are easy enough to find on the web. Converting liters to cubic feet is very simple and I suggest that you learn the simple math involved.

Gas consumption rates can also be found there.

All you have to do is look for them.

Hi Lyn, only like a comment, Flow rate according to ASME IX, QW256 (GTAW) & QW408.3 is Nonessential variable.

Following details required,

1. Is this with filler (Manual TIG) process or without filler process (Orbital Welding)?

2. Area of interest is Longitudinal seam or circumferential seam?

3. What is the diameter and thickness of pipe?
