Are you sure it is CFD and not CDF that you need to know about?

Dear Supriya,

Its nice to see ur interest in Computational Fluids Dynamics(CFD). This is very emerging field in India but for the MNC's its quiet normal usable thing.

First let us know ur background about the academics, so that we can suggest the suitable solution for the same.

Regds,

Fluid dynamics is a very wide subject. Some professors at IIT Delhi were in air dispersion models. You can also find such group at safety research lab, IGCAR, kalppakam. You may also find some groups in other IITs and IISC Bangalore. If you are looking at prediction of Cyclone, Typhoons, Tornado and specific limited geometry fluid dynamics models then look for remote sensing agencies near your place. In India many research groups you may find and Germany is the best place for research in this area and look for DAD news letter of German Embassy and their Humboldt Scholarship. Is your interest limited to coding or are you developing a new model or want to validate some existing model? What is the final goal?
