Can the Dream of Riding a Giant Bird (aka: Avatar) Be Far Behind?

All other issues aside, this begs the same issue as flying cars etc. Imagine a population of people that can't even pay attention to where they are driving and expand that into a third dimension!@!!!

IMHO, the giant birds might have proved to be more practical than mechanical devices- kind of like the old story about the farmer's horse knowing it's own way home from the bar on Friday nights, without any directional input from the rider.

If it is a smart bird, does that mean it won't poop on your car?

Whoa! A sizable population of those exists in Virginia? ...or anywhere else? I mean, I realize the average human has roughly one testicle and one breast, but I had no idea there were significant collections of people embodying such non-gender specificity.

What kind of operation do you work at that draws enough 'non-gender specific drivers' that finding and following such is a reliable method of finding your place of employment?

I'm not familiar with these 'non-gender specific drivers' of which you speak and so only have the information you provide as insight into their level of intelligence, but if they are as smart- challenged as you seem to suggest, perhaps learning the routes to work might be too difficult. It would free you from 'having to follow' them to get to work..... ...or are they like homing pigeons somehow?
