You can cut it with punch press, water jet, laser, wire edm, band saw, milling machine, fineblanking machine, or plasma torch. I am sure someone will point out that I have missed some other method. How big a circle, how many, what tolerence, what flatness requirement, which stainless, in what condition, and what finish? The possibilities are endless unless you supply more information.

Size to be cut on SS sheets is about 8 to 10 inches dia.Thickness is about 4mm.

These cutted circles are used for making screw conveyors.

Pls comment on the economical way to make it.

Let's try again. How many, what tolerence, what, finish requirement, is there a center hole, are there other holes? These are all important questions to be answered in order to give sound advise. Waterjet is probably your best bet provided your dimentional and roundness tolerence is not closer than +/-.oo5 and you dont need a fine surface finish.

AS Per Gary...

My preference is water jet cutter then Plasma cutter. If the job is small Plasma cutter as the High pressure water needs a bloody big pump!

Eventhough there are several mehods,pantographic plasma arc cutting and water jet cutting are most economical and efficient method.

I agree that waterjet is the most economical, however +/-.005 is the best you can hope for and not a very food finish at that. A part that requires a closer tolerence and/or a better finish will require finish milling or turning. Also I just machined over a thousand water-jetted parts where .020 was left on for finishing. The parts were 17-4 PH SST and some were titanium. I am convinced that waterjet leaves bits of garnet in the surface of the cut material. The cutter usage was far above normal for the amount of metal removal that was required.

<Any machines available to cut?>

Sure : Your best bet is Air Plasma Cutter APC. Do you want to cut max 10mm SS or more thk. Same APC will cut 16mmCarbon Steel ,12mm Aluminium/Bronze/Cu.

.

Ready to import APCfrom China? How many sets?
