A roll of this:

Will last a lifetime. It is very effective at turning off idiot warning lights.

Radio volume control knobs are effective at silencing warning buzzers, when adjusted properly.

Auto parts stores will usually check the trouble codes for you and turn the light off, once.

I usually get that when the air filter is due, possibly low on oil, I would check both and allow the car to go through 3 cycles(warm engine to operating temp and cool offx3) to possibly reset on it's own.....and/or what Lyn said...

Just because you changed the oil and filter doesn't mean the service counter will automatically be reset. Your owner's manual should tell you how to manually reset the counter, so that is begins counting a new mileage interval.
