Repairing and Rewinding AC Servo Motors

hi friends

i am in the field of repairs & rewind of ac servo motors employed in cnc machines.can any body tell me the books or sites where i can get more information on this?

You can disasemble the serco carefully, count the number of turns while you remove the windings and write them down. check the wire diameter, brush angle, winding tension, commutator and wire stecking method, insulation on the winding, number of poles.

Don't forget carefully marking (pin-punches help) alignments of everything movable, and photographs as you disassemble... not to mention the DIRECTION of windings around each pole-piece. I worked in a rewind shop for a number of years, and at one point thought I'd seen everything...(yeah, right!) Along came a unit with a "hollow" fiberglass rotor... windings encased in the 'glass, and NO IRON! There are some unique approaches being taken, nowadays.
