Hello,

Beofre I can suggest the method of polishing the implant, I like to know what is the reason that you would want to polish it for?

Anyways, here is the method of polishing it, hope it helps.

Usually medical implants are either made up of stainless steel or alloys, which normally the surface does not get oxidized.

If you wish to polish them, you can use Zinc Oxide powder which is used in dentistry.

You can sprinkle the powder on a sterile gauze and then use that to rub the surface of the implant. This will give a good shine.

Warm Regards.

Titanium is used for pacemakers and ICDs because some materials like anything with iron would be used by the body like a mineral iron in vitamins for example.

Medical production use electro polish for critical containers. Base material will be 316SS. Grinding will embed grinding material in raw material and cause contamination.
