Can any body explain what does " ADAPTER 90 08JIC x 06 MNPT" mean? Can any body suggest where I can find the detailed specifications of hose fittings of different hose sizes? I want to know the dimesion of the fitting, thread size etc.
Grainger has a big list assortment of these push-pull fittings. I see it's a 90degree elbo . I don't know the 08JIC term, but the MNPT is a Male Thread for matching the fitting to pipe connection. Call Grainger and explain this to them and I'm sure they'll send you in the right direction.
I do not know where you are in the worls.....GATES ,Hanse flex and Euro power are just three of the many....JIC is a type thread of a fitting, 08 is the size which mean dash 8 if you look at these guys web sites you will get all you require.different threads are used for different applications...MNPT means Male national pipe taper.
I hope this is of assistance

Ah yes, I see, JIC is another thread type. Here in Baltimore, we're still trying to catch up to the newer thread recommendations. I guess the 08 is millimeter ? I'll check with Hanse Flex and see.....thanks.
It refers to a fitting. It is an adapter that is at a right angle 90 degrees. It adapts a 3/8 inch pipe threaded port (06 MNPT) 06 = 6/16 Male National Pipe Thread. To 1/2 inch JIC 08 = 8/16 Joint Industry Council. See Parker Hydraulics or for details on fittings.
