Energy Saving?

06/25/2014 7:37 PM

Nosing around on the net (boredom) I found this ruling from the UK Advertising Standards authority. http://www.asa.org.uk/Rulings/Adjudications/2012/2/Blue-Carbon-Ltd/SHP_ADJ_157911.aspx which relates to this thread from a while back http://cr4.globalspec.com/thread/87790

One of the contributors mentioned Blue Carbon Ltd.

Thought it may be of interest to those who like me don't believe most of the electrical energy saving rip offs.

Methinks they need a better BS writer for their advertisements.

At one time I did sales. I was traveling just under 100K a year and the Cavalier was eating me alive in gas. I read through the gasoline saving devices in all the automotive catalogs. Some devices claimed as much as 15% fuel savings. I bought several hundred dollars worth and installed them all. The results were absolutely amazing. I had to stop the car every 5 or 6 hundred miles and drain the gasoline from the tank. I provided fuel for my other cars and my neighbors. Eventually and tax folks caught up with me. Turns out I was impacting the sales tax revenue and had put two filling stations out of business. The final straw occurred when I was pulled over on the NYS Thruway. I was miles from home, all my cans were full, and gasoline was pouring from my fuel tank.

I tried your link directly several times, and also copied and pasted it in whole and part. ...never got anywhere.

Not that it matters much - I'm pretty sure it is scam-related...

Blue Carbon Ltd shut down in 2012 after the ASA ruling:-

"Blue Carbon Limited was set up on 10 Jun 2010. Its current status is listed as "Dissolved" and it had 4 directors at the time it closed. It was founded by Mr Phillip John Van Tenac, Mr Edward Nicolas Cowdery, Mr Darren Trussell. Blue Carbon Limited has no subsidiaries."

I'm surprised the US Dept of Energy didn't give them a grant.
