Gawd! That's a big subject you're asking about!

It would probably be best if you go to a bookstore and look for a text on the subject. Else, you could search the internet for it.

I don't think anyone here would have the time to explain everything to you even if it's just about the cement factory electrical and instrumentation.

If you are a C&I engineer used to oil production plant you should be able to cope with cement works. I have worked on both as well as paper mills and chemical/nuclear OK. The main differences are terminology and lower levels of ESD.

Dear Necmettin,

The electric is same in the rest of the world. About 40% of electrical energy is used by grinding, so it is important to have clinker combi grinding system, using waste gas to heat the raw material mills, coal mills, and turn possible more fans to VFD's to save from electrical energy.

The rotary kiln is the hearth of the process and driven by modern kilns automatically using reliable instrumentation. Gas analyzers are most important instruments controlling combustibles for the ideal burning and protecting ESP (Electro static Precipitator) against unburned coal, if it is coal fired and against methane, if it is natural gas fired (will shut down ESP before it enters into ESP to avoid an explosion, but you will not help environment with this dust coming out the chimney). So calibrate gas analyzers periodically and train the operators with feeding fuel and material during everybody else is forcing him/her to increase the feed to maximize their bonuses!

Do not worry about the kiln infrared scanner, since the operators have an eye on it before refractory wears and the shell smelts!

Please send your questions to my E-mail: hpolat@sympatico.ca.

Best Regards
