Translator of A or D Stream to Speech

One of these should sort you out for the analog side of things:

Please elaborate on your signals and the type of speech you wish produced. An audio signal of someone speaking needs no translation except possibly to another language.

a) It's a mistake to put your E-mail address. the Spambots will find it.

b) You need to explain what you mean much better.
E.G. An analogue stream put through an amplifier and speaker will produce speech, if that's what the analogue stream was!

E.G Microphone, amplifier, speaker ... > speech.

Similary a digital data stream if suitably decoded and put through an amplifier and speaker will do the same e.g digital radio, dvd, mps3 etc.

The Pythia no longer answer my phone calls. So we shouldn't bother them any more.

The translator will receive data, analog or digital from a very basic weather station and should be able to translate it to speech and at the same time be able to follow the momentary changes in the present weather. the system is to be operated by vision impaired persons to control agriculture sites in the Chilean Patagonia.

I am sorry for the delay. During day time, and sometimes for several days I have no internet access.

The easiest way would be to convert the data to tones, possibly with pre-recorded voice messages (or special tones) played when set points are reached (like really high wind speed for example). Think of it like an analog meter display instead of digital, but with sound, you could even use the same sound generator and just have a few braille-marked buttons to change between, say, wind speed, wind direction, rain fall, etc.

Not sure who could help you but there may be a cheap phone application or similar that could do this (or be modified, possibly by the app writer if you contact them), greatly simplifying the project.

Here's another one, this one is designed to accept data from a number of popular weather stations. You have to dig through the documentation to find a feature called "Weather Voice", or just contact them for a quick answer.
