McDonough Buckboard

07/06/2014 12:32 PM

I purchased a 1960 McDonough Buckboard last week. It's in good shape but I need the motor and fenders. If anyone knows where I can purchase them please send me their information.

Thank you,

Mike

The ones I've seen here have no fenders and use a 2-3 HP Briggs and Stratton 4 stroke.

Here's a start:

getting the most from your Briggs & Strat

Should be a piece if cake. (he said, realizing he doesn't have to do anything )

Lyn,

The one I bought has metal brackets around the tires that a fender would mount too. Mine also has a metal brake that rubs the back tire to stop. I thought it was from 1960 but maybe I'm wrong?

Mike,

I'm no expert, for sure.

Google Images doesn't show any fenders on any Buckboards.

These guys 1960 McDonough Buckboard Go kart - OldMiniBikes.com Foru may know more.

Good luck!

Show us some pics.

1920 the original, I think, came with fenders which also contained the braking mechanism....
