6,000 miles, 50 miles per day will take 3 months in theory. But is their "50 miles on an 8 hour charge" realistic? Does it include the weight of not only the two passengers, but also their food, water, clothing and other travel appurtenances? I doubt it. That route is going to take them across several large desert areas and places where there is very dangerous political upheaval, meaning that carrying insufficient supplies could be a fatal mistake. I'll bet there are a lot of missing details here.
