Hello everyone, In parallel connected generators, individual generator is protected from over current, reversepower, wndg temperature and so on by isolating the same generator by its directly connected circuit breaker. If by any means generator wndg is shorted or earthed inside the generator or before isolating circuit breaker.how generator is protected in this condition.please list out other safeties involved in protecting a generator in different industries.

It depends upon how large, expensive, and vital to your operations the generator is. Differential, earth fault, loss of field/excitation, rotor earth fault, high vibration, loss of coolant, are just a few additonal generator-specific protective schemes that come to mind. For more info download the GE Digital Protective Relay Handbook.

Fully with RAM..

If the generator is above 10MW, 33KV it is affordable.

No way affordable for LT..

Generator circuit breakers were used in multi-unit stations where different systems are directly connected to step up transformer and with high speed breaker, one can also use the circuit breakers for protection and contractors for switching, maintenance intervals can be optimized.
