How to calculate stresses at the junction of nozzle and vessel in case of circular opening in flat head ?

Is there any availability standard procedure ?

If it exists then please guide or suggest any suitable alternative.

jagadaga...

The use of a finite element code may be extreme for your need, i.e. procuring a purloined copy of PVELITE may not be necessary...

There is a specific analysis case in the Roark Book "Formulas for Stress & Strain" that defines the formulas for maximum developed stresses.

You must, of course, know all dimensions and properties of your specific problem.

No, I will not send you a copy of this text.
